How Milk Stash Works

Our Kickstarter for the Milk Stash breastmilk management system is live!
Check it out here.

The Milk Stash system aims to take the pain out of storing pumped milk. If you've ever pumped, you know keeping an inventory isn't easy... milk spills while transferring, freezers get clogged up with bags, stashes spoil when newer milk is used first.

It's a tough job, and it's even tougher when you have an infant on your hands with more needs than just fresh milk.

We're looking to make it easier.

The Tray

Our ergonomic tray fits into most refrigerators and freezers and cuts out the mess of having a pile of bags. Unlike typical bag holders, the Milk Stash tray is made of solid, custom-molded plastic. Each tray holds up to seven 5-ounce bottles and is made in the U.S. The best part, however, is that our trays work in a first in, first out fashion, meaning you always grab the oldest bottle first.

The Bottles

The Milk Stash bottles compete with any bottle on the market. They're BPA-free, shatter-proof and are made in the U.S. The bottles are constructed to fit our tray perfectly and have a 40mm thread size, which means they fit most industry-standard breast pumps and nipples. Imagine using the same bottles to pump, store, and feed without any risk of spilling milk in between.

The App

The Milk Stash app ties it all together. The app knows how much milk you have in the fridge, tracks exactly when each bottle will expire, and shows the progress in your pumping journey. Every time you put a bottle into or a take a bottle out of your tray, simply use one-touch gestures on your iPhone to note it. The app will remember which bottle you entered and will send you notifications when a bottle is about to expire or when a caregiver removes a bottle.

Together, the Milk Stash system makes storing breast milk effortless.

What Next?

Our tray and bottles are not for sale, yet, but we just launched a Kickstarter to raise initial funds for manufacturing. You can catch early bird pricing on our Kickstarter here.

Our app is free to download and works with any storing system, even if you made it yourself. You can download it on the App Store here
